Continuing with the theme of war from the first novel I read in this challenge I am going to attempt to read War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy by the end of this month (August). It is a famously long book and should be the only one I need to take away with me on holiday! Despite it being on my bookshelf for the best part of a decade I know very little about the story or the ideas explored within it other than the obvious ones in the title. If you’ve read the book I’d be interested to hear any suggestions for how best to tackle such a mammoth piece of literature.
